About the movie:
Ayat-Ayat Cinta (literally meaning The Verses of Love) is an Indonesian film by Hanung Bramantyo starred by Fedi Nuril, Rianti Cartwright, Carissa Putri, Zaskia Adya Mecca, and Melanie Putria. Ayat-Ayat Cinta is a religious film which is based by best-selling novel with the same title by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The story is actually based in Cairo, Egypt, but instead of shooting in Cairo, the movie was shot in India and Semarang, Indonesia.
